Project Overview
In this era of rudimentary lifestyle, we rarely get the time to tend to our health. Every person’s dietary needs are as unique as a fingerprint and a plan that is uncomplicated without restricting the food choices much is needed. There are countless apps available in the market, though few do offer genuine personalization but more often than not the users are unable to stick to the plan.
- We aimed to get the detailed lifestyle of the users to provide them with a complete structure of their health.
- With the help of the app we also wanted to track the progress of the users and to do so we also integrated it with wearable tech such as fitness goals.
- Another objective was to onboard authorized nutritionists and dieticians on the platforms who could provide the clients with an intuitive and adaptive algorithm-based meal plan based on the evolution of their goals.
Execution
To build the mobile app we focused on keeping a smooth user-friendly interface design simple and minimalistic such as pleasant colours and easily readable fonts.
User profile
With this particular feature, we were able to gain insight into the demographics and dietary habits of the users such as data on age, weight, height, fitness level, allergies, dietary preferences, and health goals.
Algorithm Development
With the data provided by the users, Nutritio developed algorithms in order to generate meal plans by collaborating with nutritionists and dietitians tailored to the user’s profile data.
Integration with Wearable Tech
Nutritio integrated features kept the algorithm churning to get real-time updates on users' activities and adjust meal plans accordingly through wearable tech (like fitness bands).
Interactive UI/UX Design
Recognizing the importance of user experience, Nutritio designed an interactive and engaging app interface. Features like grocery lists, recipe videos, and daily nutrition breakdowns were added.
Feedback Loop
The app was designed to learn from user feedback. If a user didn't enjoy a meal or found a recipe too complicated, the algorithm adjusted future meal plans.
Community and Support
Nutritio incorporated a community forum and chat support with nutrition experts for user queries.
Pilot Testing
Before a full launch, Nutritio released a beta version to a select group, gathering feedback on functionality, user experience, and meal plan satisfaction.

Within the first three months post-launch, Nutritio garnered 100,000+ downloads with a high retention rate.
